I think we agree that borrowing does not create wealth, it destroys it... over the long haul. Wealth is created by creating something, even an idea, not borrowing something.

You are neglecting the slight little issue that borrowing enables somebody to create things in the near term which otherwise would take them far longer. Economics is as much about motivation as it is about accounting.
