All fiat money eventually becomes devalued via inflation. The trick is to find the right hedge. I'm not convinced it's corn, oil, or gold but if I had to pick one right now, I'd pick gold.

Real estate has traditionally been a good hedge but no longer.

Outside of Japan where the evidence is mixed, name one country that has experienced a period of deflation in the past 20 years -- I would love to hear about it.
