"Pat Robertson predicts 2008 will be year of violence".
For violence, he could have been right for the last 8 years
and the next 8 years, regardless of who's in the whitebuilding.
There is violent rewards on WS, violence on mainStreets,
violent compensations for the well deserved smart CxOs, elites,
violent layoffs for the not so smart, lazyworkers, dumb
engineers, violent sex from Xollywoods. It's just violence
everywhere.

Pat Robertson and Conservative Republicans are playing wonderfully on peoples fears and combining it with a basic tennant of conservative christian thinking that if you don't believe in JC as your personal savior that you are going to burn in hell (fear based faith in a deity in my opinion). Paired with that is the belief that if a person prays to their personal god, that god will guide a person as to what they should do, and what god has told them to do because it is the will of god, etc, etc. Therefore, both GWB and PR indicate to the masses that god tells them stuff. I don't even know if they really believe it or not. I know that they know that's how millions of conservative christians think though and I think that they play into that to advance their own agenda. The PBS special on The Mormons, had an interesting commentary by a former Mormon that was explaining why so many Mormons had participated in a massacre many years ago and she said "If you can get people to believe it is the will of God, you can get them to do anything."

also wanted to add that he was keeping what god told him about who was winning the election to himself but that he said laughing "I'll just keep that to myself and look with horror at what MAY be happening." Well, if its all predetermined (which he clearly does not think it is because he used the work MAY), then why try to rally the faithful? A woman or a black man as president is a horror I suppose if you're a conservative christian. There sure is a lot of code speak to the faithful, bigotry cloaked in a moral costume/mask.
