Neeka...the post you linked to was mine...alone. I didn't hear Guiliani's speech. I'm unclear what it is you didn't like, or did like.

I do like Rudy very much, and think he would do the best job in foreign affairs. I like Romney too. And do wish that Fred Thompson could do something of importance in these next few years. Thompson is a very serious guy, and isn't a fake "Hale Fellow, Well Met" kind of guy. For that I applaud him. I think that he thinks much of what one has to do to be heard on the campaign trail (going into homes, dragging all the TV cameras, going into diners, kissing babies, etc etc) is just plain fake. And he is right. The rest of us think so too, at least those of us who are thinking.

Romney seems to be a good and decent guy. I think he will wear well on us. He's a hard guy to toss stones on, because he doesn't seem to be a Clinton who misbehaved all the way to the WH, and went overboard once he got there. Hillary couldn't even control Bill.....and yet, she wants our vote.

And back to Rudy....I'm sure the media, and others like Rollins in Huckabee's campaign will try to fling out everything ugly about Rudy that they can find, and they can make up. You can't take charge of a corrupt and powerful group of people in a city of NYC, without tweeking more than noses, and making some enemies who will do anything to sling mud your way.

I think ALL of us need to get to the bottom of WHO will be making the charges, and flinging the nastiness that will surely come, before we make assumptions about the candidate who is supposed to be the receivee when the dung is flung.
