I dont think it violates low tax rate supply side thinking. Its temporary and designed to pay for a war which by definition is sort of an off budget item. Problem is Mike we are at a point, where any tax increase can make the current economic situation alot worse. Bush has lacked leadership qualities all thru his presidency. Doesnt this seem like the longest lame duck presidency ever? Hell he still has one full year to go. And his legacy may be a left wing version of a totally inexperienced president coming soon.
