Ya, Danville Il -- sounds like a dream come true, and so close to Gary Indiana! Just like Hawaii without the -- you know -- location. By the way, a house in Kailua is usually a 25k house on a 700k lot. I think there is a reason some of these properties are "distressed".

I wonder if these need a ton of work to update them?

Obviously it isn't cost effective to do that at these prices..which is why we need another housing price bubble in the heartland and rust belt to pump up the economy,spur remodeling and also put speculators of 2005 back to work. Danville, Rochester, Toledo here we come<g>
