"I'm less worried about the way a dem administration will spend my tax dollars than I am about a rep administration. I'm assuming dems will use the money to pay down debt and shore up SS and Medicare, but I do want to see lots of specifics once we have a dem nominee and we move closer to the election."

I have a very good friend at work. He is a real engineer and a very hard and productive worker. He is younger than I and like you truly believes Democrats are the financially responsible party. Youth is a wonderful thing - but it somehow missed the presidency of Jimmy Carter and remembers only the 90s with slick Willie. After Clinton ethics cost him the house and senate we had divided government and the boom times followed. It is clear after the Republican financial catastrophe that single party government is a financial disaster.

The bottom line is that any thought that Democrats are fiscally responsible is delusional. Just remember Hillary's Christmas message where she kept putting "presents" under the tree.

As for ethics - well - the Clintons are truly unique in the display of political ethics - err - calling China?
