>> Let's see if there is closure on the EU issue on Monday

There will not be any decision on Monday. Monday is merely the day when Intel makes its response. It will take weeks/months to read it, discuss, etc, to reach a decision.

As an example, Korea FTC proudly announced their own silly objection to Intel back in early-mid '07. They wanted to enroll in the EU copy-cat club with their own "pre-dawn raid". What a bunch of idiots! I believe Intel responded within a short time, and Korea announced to the world they were going inflict a punishment. The only uncertainty was the form and amount of damage. So far not a peep has been heard from K-FTC on the subject. Maybe Intel told them if they levy a fine, Intel will not do business in korea. Let's see how long Acer will survive as an AMD-only seller. They would really be pounding themselves into guacomole then. Would they even last a week ?
