That's how too much of the Republican electorate is going to see Rudy before this goes much farther. I think he's screwed. Both Guiliani and Thompson under estimated the media and the general public. Their decisions to avoid the heartland states (Guiliani) and to delay announcement as a candidate (Thompson) were mistakes in my view. Guiliani needed to do more to shed/explain his baggage as a social liberal to "all" republicans, not just Iowa. Thompson needed to give a clear and acceptable rationale for delaying his entry as a candidate to all republicans, not just the christian right. Now, they are both in a catchup mode. NH should be telling for both these guys.

Re your comment re abortion...I'll ask you...Will abortion matter much if the terrorists let loose in maybe ten major cities bio weapons of some sort....the kind that would close down cities to the outside, and vice versa. And ESPECIALLY if we find the way these murdering barbarians came into the country was through one of our porous borders, including the water borders? How many men, women and yes, children and babies would something like that kill in the US? Do any of the candidates on the Left have any plans for preventing this? If so, what are they? Are they even aware that a problem exists? Tell me how much they are aware....Ditto for some of the Rightwing candidates.... Are they willing to secure our borders so we know for sure who wants to come in?
