I've read of and seen on TV several instances of dolphins attacking, even one of a dolphin attempting to rape a woman at one of those "meet a dolphin" places in Hawaii.

I don't think there's any reason to mythologize doplphins. I'm sure you could piss a dolphin off or meet up with a bad temered dolphin, or even a psychopathic dolphin. I liked Flipper growing up too.
