Special note to M.... I finally got out one of those frozen ears of Olathe, Colorado corn last night. It was almost as good as a fresh ear. The flavor was wonderful, nice and sweet. The only thing different about it was that it wasn't crisp like a fresh ear would be. It was slightly on the "soft" side. This didn't have an affect on the flavor, it was just noticeable and not what I expected. It had a date on it of Sept 5.'07, so it's been in the freezer 4 full months. I still have about 5-6 more, and will get to them prolly by the end of this month. I froze these with the husks on, as I had read that would be okay, but I think if I do it again this fall, I'll peel them, rinse in water and quick freeze then seal with my Food Saver. All in all, a good result.

Thanks Ken....I'm saving those instructions......

made pressure cooker chicken soup yesterday......and the family wants it again today.....maybe with turkey or beef.

I just love all of those overcooked veggies that I dump in the soup mix....I almost feel I'm eating a heathy meal.

Now, I need a Snickers bar.
