Edwards is positioned as the "not Obama" candidate if there ever becomes a blacklash against the "Obama movement" we now see. He is also well-positioned to be the VP choice again. If Obama is nominated he should pick a white southerner like Edwards. He'll need one.

Hillary would probably pick Wes Clark. But truly, she needs a miracle now. She needs Obama to stumble very soon, and needs it badly.

Edwards is just hanging in there making strong respectable finishes. He might even get 25% in New Hampshire and is likely to get more than 30% in South Carolina. So long as he keeps on piling up delegates he's the fallback guy. In Iowa for instance, Obama only got one more delegate than Edwards. But yeah, Edwards needs a big break too. And Obama has to try not to stumble. Obama has all the mo-mo now. But remember, that can change. for one thing, in future primaries independents and 17 years olds won't be allowed to vote.
