LIAR. The smearvets don't give a damn about our troops. They got a lot of our troops killed and maimed. They pimped dishonestly and lied-lied-lied to protect the profits of Bushie big oil, war profiteers and other corrupt influences. Pickens has made billions with Bushie $100 oil and he wants more, more more. He also wants to evade taxes. That's all this is about.

Anyone who claims the Vietnam War wasn't totally FUBAR, brutal, unwinnable and dishonest by 1971 or even 1969 doesn't know anything about history. In fact even in 1968 our government knew it was a lost cause, which is why LBJ bowed out.

Also, our side carried out all kinds of terrible atrocities, both from the air and in terms of torture, assasinations and the mass killing of civilians. We have cleaned up our act a lot since then but no one can deny the My Lai massacre not only happened, but was part of a pattern. And what about Agent Orange? Napalm? Burning down any village that was suspected of assisting the VC even if they were forced to? And the Pheonix Program. How many did we assassinate including beheadings then? The list goes on and on. The smearvets were not only totally dishonest, they were dead wrong and helped foster things like Abu Graib which was Al Qaida's biggest recruiting poster. Kerry was 100% right to protest the war and help expose atrocities. To do anything less he would have had to be an amoral American.
