what about McCain?

He occasionally cracks a pretty good one-liner, but a lot of his politics smells from my perspective.

Bad: Gang of Fourteen re Supreme Court; McCain-Feingold; Opposition to the Bush tax cuts; Immigratation and Amnesty are but a few of his views which I disagree.

Good: His military support has been very good.

Marginal: His stand on GITMO and torture.

Bad: Global warming

If he wins NH and SC he will be a good competing force against whomever is left on the GOP side.

I think he could beat either Obama or Clinton. He would pick up far more independents than either of the democrats.
