If anybody needs a dog biscuit, it is you! So what if the website says that? It is wrong data. I am a little familiar with the Danville area. It is upper-class and is unlikely to have the kind of numbers that the website gave. Try the town zip codes 94506 and 94526 with the same website. There are a total of 7 or 8 foreclosures in Danville.

zeus,

From that same website:

Preforeclosures: 110,826

Bankruptcies: 20,068
FSBOs: 1,384
Tax Liens: 255,699
Auctions: 0

Contra Costa
County Info Foreclosures: 1,488
Preforeclosures: 5,692

Bankruptcies: 546
FSBOs: 29
Tax Liens: 6,507

Danville, CA is a tiny little "burg", fairly affluent. No way does Danville have 4-5% of all foreclosures in California, or 5% of all preforeclosures in California. Not a chance, and nothing remotely close to that. Danville thus far has not been hit by the wave of foreclosures that other areas in spitting distance have (such as Mountain House or Stockton, to name just two examples).

I don't disagree with your contentions that housing is deflating and that people are hyper-extended on credit. However, the town of Danville is not the ghost town that you think the statistics describe.
