Still... with the Medicare/Medicaid funding surplus TOTALLY EXHAUSTED by 2013, and the Social Security surplus totally gone by 2015 (faster for both if we factor in the possibility of a recession), then it is obvious that *some sort* of big changes are in store for both... regardless.

Even larger crisis awaits as the GAO projects that by 2032 (or earlier) INTEREST ALONE on the massively increased federal debt will EXCEED ALL of the federal tax revenues.

The ability to sweep these issues under the rug (while continuing, for example, to borrow an additional $15 Billion PER MONTH to pay for wars --- all officially 'off-budget' of course) is fast diminishing....
