OMFG!! I hope you are saying that with tongue planted firmly in cheek..

I don't seem to recall the last "great deflation" (the great depression) improving the lot of the average American..

And it certainly hasn't improved the lot of the average Japanese, who also saw their real estate values (and interest rates) plunge during the '90's.

Praying for a great deflation is "crazy talk". It's something that will only benefit those who positioned themselves (ultra-short and cash) previous to the deflationary spiral.
