Makes sense that eco-leftys would go after ships. The super container ships are what makes the global economy possible. Expect to see more about how they are destroying the oceans and must be outlawed.

It is finally off the ground, but expensive.

How do the fares compare to air service?

Looks like a base passenger fare of $54 and vehicle at $59 off peak.

The Nantucket car ferry is $15 passenger, but $125 for a car. Now, that car rate is outrageous.

What was the objection of the econuts? Shoreline damage from the wake? That happened in WA State with the high speed passenger only ferries.
