Of course there wasn't a word about your storm on our local TV news. Northwest Cable News (Our Channel 5 substitute) had a piece on last night. What is stabilized gasoline? Gasoline tends to break down with time. It deposits a varnish and sticky gum type residue on carburetors or fuel injectors. My generator would not start until I sprayed in some Gumout Carb cleaner. That did the trick. Anytime gasoline is going to sit unused in a tank for a month or more, you should add a stabilizer to it and then run the engine long enough to get the internal parts coated. We have DSL for internet (not crappy Charter). Since we had phone service, I think I could have had internet if I'd had a power source for the DSL modem and router.
