Well....the kid never saw me. This happened near the front of the store and everyone saw it. The kid was wearing a hooded sweatshirt so I looked to an employee and said watch my son. Geez man....I'm gonna be 42 in a couple weeks - this isn't what I want to do. Anyhow, I grabbed him by his hood, dragged him out of the store and I twirled him around into the bushes. He got up and I pushed him back down - just about blew him out of his shoes. I bet he flew back 5 feet. He got up again so I grabbed him around his neck and said that only reason he wasn't going to have to take a hospital trip was because I was in a good mood. Ya know - what are people thinking? When I had him by the neck I clinched my fist, drew back on him and then thought better of it. You really have to push your luck to make me that mad but when someone screws with my son I go into Papa bear mode. Nobody called the police because everyone saw what happened. When I walked back into the store people started clapping. He had a buddy with him who gave me "the look." I didn't raise my voice but I walked over and said he better wipe that look off his face or he was next. He seemed to settle down quickly and proceeded to leave the store. I think if I'd have punched the guy out I'd have been in trouble so I just went into Charles Manson mode. How can anyone do that to a kid. Junior didn't cry but he watched me drag the kid out of the store. That was SO NOT what I wanted my son to see. I feel crappy about it but by the same token I don't want my son to think that you don't respond to that. The push on my son was violent. Jr. hit the tile hard.
