Glaciers melt in one place, but they grow in another, everything is shifting...

Hey, if the ice caps are really melting, then this would be very good news, we certainly don't need all that ice, it's only in the way of shipping, look what it did to the TITANIC... and besides, do you realize how much better we would be if we have shipping lanes going directly from Australia to South Africa and South America? This represents a huge savings for the shipping business itself and for all of us, and a significant savings in fuel consumption, we do need to conserve, don't we? Also, the whales would have more room to roam, and Greenland could then grow crops to feed their hungry hoards... and you know, I bet there's oil under all that wasted ice, so why should we leave it to all those caribou, they can't use the oil, they certainly can't drink it... and if the oceans were to rise a few hundred feet, then so what? Can you imagine how much more oceanfront property we would have? Those homeowners would love the view and wish it had happened earlier... anyhow, that's my story and I'm sticking to it...
