I believe he's always been a strong defense socialist. Remember at the first Clinton inaugural, he was standing in a crowd when an Air Force fly over happened. Someone near by reacted in disgust. Excellent post by Ron Silver...! Hopefully, we hear more of him...He really nailed the problem we all face with several statements, but this one for sure: The critics of our national security policies know we have the means to sort things out in finding the proper balance between civil liberties and security. What they haven't figured out is how to deal with the real enemy so they avoid talking about it. They don't like what we're doing but they offer nothing else. I believe they're afraid to take on our real adversaries. I think he is correct with his last sentence...
