Well the columnist is the ultimate Neo Kristol so who knows? I've never been able to figure those guys out.


I think Bloomberg knew this election would be one where the typical partisan candidate would be unacceptable and was waiting for just the right moment to announce his candidacy. However, he wasn't expecting the ascendancy of either Huckabee or Obama......the very non partisan candidates he was hoping to be. So now he's testing the waters to see if he can come up with some support....financial or otherwise....for his candidacy. My take is his possible candidacy will fade slowly into the background.
