"He thinks we should lose the war in Iraq."

How many more dead American solders do you think that we need?

What 'war in Iraq'?

We won the war against Saddam in record fashion, long ago.

Now it's an occupation that you think can somehow be 'won'... but I don't think occupations generally work that way.

Right now we are in debt a bit more then 1/2 TRILLION dollars over this... with probably the next half Trillion already locked-in the glide path for direct outlays and residual (decades and decades) expenses.

Right now we are paying Sunnis $300 a month to 'fight on our side', but I fear that most of the Sunnis, as well as the majority Shia, are simply taking Uncle Sucker for a ride... trying to suck down as much free financing as they can, steal as much as possible.

In the end, after we've departed the environs, they will settle their own hash, and fight each other over the future dimensions and political boundaries of whatever 'Iraq' is to become.

(But future American generations will be stuck with the massive debts, and all the interest expenses.)

Iraqis are simply playing us for all they can get.
