The LA Times stated the unemployment figures are much higher than reported. They did an in-depth study and concluded what should be obvious even to a koolaid drinker like you, that the 5% are just teh recently laid off who are trying to find a new job. That doesn't account for tens of millions of others who have either stopped loooking, or are under employed, part-time employed, self-employed, etc. And almost none of them have health care of pensions. The real Bush unemployment numbers are over 15% and much worse than the 90's in all categories.

There is no bigger enemy of US manufacturing jobs that the corporate Bushie rightwing. They literally reward US companies for moving factories overseas and laying off US workers.

BTW, just heard a report that 51,000 in the mortgage industry recently lost their jobs.

And how many are employed fueling Bush's debacle in Iraq, which of course is all deficit spending and money down the drain?
