Krugman has been PROVEN 100% right. And the Reagan economic theories have been proven wrong. Simply put, if you cut taxes, especially on those who can afford it most, and then start spending and looting the treasury like there's no tomorrow, after awhile the dollar will become worthless and the federal government will go bankrupt.

That should be obvious to anyone with a brain. But Bushie Koolaid drinkers like LSD acid heads are duped into believing their trip is reality. But it isn't and never was. Reality is much more logical. And logic says you cannot spend what you don't take in unless you want to run out of money. Every household in America knows this, but Bushies and Reaganites do not.

BTW: We are almost there now, our government bankrupt. Which is exactly what rightwingers secretly want.

Reagan lied when he said "government is the problem". Only corrupt or inefficient goverment is a problem and that can be fixed. What rich Bushies really want is evade taxes and their responsibility to their country, and let their corporate cronies all rip us off willy-nilly without any accountability. That is it in a nutshell. The bottomline truth. And Bush-cheney have proven all this to be true. They have shattered the reagan myths. Which is why the rightwing in this country will be discredited for a long-long time and may never really recover. Better late than never.

Economist turned whore - I think Krugman is that fellow.

Then I take it you have never seen Kudlow on his show. If you had, you wouldn't be embarrassing yourself by using him as a reference.....at least I hope not.

In reality, we got a job increase of 18K, not 200K, and an unemployment rate that jumped from 4.7% to 5.0%.....the biggest jump in several years.

That doesn't equate "we are now in recession" as you wish to believe.

I never said we were. None of us, including you, know for sure. But the economic signs suggest we are heading in that direction if not already there. Amazingly, the GOP candidates are ignoring the issue. What a strange bunch you all are.

Do you honestly think I want a recession? A dem is winning the presidential election with or without a recession.

Perhaps you are unaware of your internal motivations, but yes.

Well dude, a psychologist you are not. Once again, you are embarrassing yourself by making assumptions that have no bearing in reality.

Let me shift the conversation a bit. If we are in recession or headed toward an imminent recession (I consider this a possibility), why would the solution be to raise taxes?

I said to raise taxes only where needed to balance the budget. And if there were to happen I would mainly target the rich elite in this country.
