Obama is not a religious nut (but I would put GW Bush in that category)...Obama is a Christian but he doesn't wear his religion on his sleeve and is a very tolerant person.

A serious thinker like Brooks is impressed with Obama because of what he has accomplished in this presidential run so far (and because of the tone of his campaign)...Yet, the very liberal NY Times columnist Frank Rich is equally impressed with Obama.

And did you listen to Obama's chief economic advisor on CNBC's Kudlow & Company show yesterday..?? He was not "spouting right wing economic nonsense."...University of Chicago economist Austan Goolsbee is very smart and has a great deal of credibility -- he talked about how the success of the middle class is the bedrock of our economic security...He talked about the importance of setting capital gains rates at zero for start up companies to foster innovation...He wants dividends and capital gains to be treated the same...Obama will provide the working class and middle class with real tax cuts...Yet, the wealthy will pay more taxes. Goolsbee said Obama is in favor of indexing the minimum wage...and he said Obama is a big supporter of the Employee Free Choice Act...Most of these are not ideas embraced by right wing economic gurus.

Here's more on Obama's economic advisor Austan Goolsbee:
