He has never been anywhere.

The fact of the matter is that if you have insurance, you get wildly better health care here than anywhere else.

What makes you think this?

Tom,

>What makes you think this?<

My health care experiences. A couple of procedures I had involved the latest and greatest equipment on earth (that few hospitals anywhere have), done in incredibly timely fashion, by extraordinary doctors in their field - in combination with the fact that I have an "HMO plan". I can get that kind of healthcare with an HOM. That is unique based on everything I have ever read anywhere. If I had the greatest plan on earth, one could argue that I was unique position, but I don't.

To that I add the experiences of my family, friends, and especially coworkers. Some of them are immigrants from a wide variety of places.

Of course, there's always the empirical evidence of so many wealthy foreigners coming here for their healthcare.

The problem with our system is one of unequal access, but if you have a decent plan (which is still the majority of workers and their family), this is the best place on earth.
