"Ten, why would Merril Lynch WANT a recession? Or George Soros?"

Where does rational thought or logic come into this?

The pub will have to really distance himself from GWB to have a chance.

Chris, > Ten, why would Merril Lynch WANT a recession? Or George Soros?

Soros is shorting the dollar, no?

Soros also has a history of manipulating currency markets, such as the British pound.

Plus Soros hates Bush, so anything to stick it to Bush and profit in the meantime.

I don't know why ML would want a recession, but I do think their symbol of the bull isn't what you think it is. Most financial institutions are heavily into wagging the dog. Kind of like what Jim Cramer used to do at his hedge fund, except on a bigger scale.
