The Dems need to prove they aren't tied to the status quo and they can't do that until they get at it. Right on Iraq, right on energy independence, right on health care, campaign reform, etc.

I hope they will try, thinking they are on borrowed time instead of thinking, as Bush did, that they have an open ended mandate just because they were elected.
