It sure sounds good. I really love that kind of soup. Everything that isn't spoiled can go from refrigerator to the pot. I also like to add chicken broth to all soups, even the veggie beef soup I made last week. I buy the fat free cans and keep several of them around. I make instant mashed spuds with it and often use it when the package calls for water.

Having left over veggie beef noodle soup tonight. Chilly day around here and I've been out in it all day. Good soup night!

I'm glad you liked it! We had it for dinner again tonight...He will take some to work tomorrow (zip locks are great!)....and if any left, will freeze it...

Speaking of soups, I have an old Sunset Hamburger Soup that we used to have at least every couple of weeks.....you can make it from "scratch" in about a half hour....kids were ALL in sports, and these were days before microwave. So I made it alot, and the kids and all their friends that came home with them liked it too....It was funny.....all the boys friends got in the habit of checking under the lid when I had the soup/stew pot going....It was so cute! Those kids were just so much fun to cook for!

The soup has onions, dry onion soup mix, hamburger (or good stew meat), lots of veggies - frozen or fresh or combo, sometimes potatoes or macaroni, and sometimes I put barley in instead, plus W-sauce, and some seasoning salt, pepper and water. Salad and french bread are perfect with it...!
