When Genifer Flowers appeared and then disappeared from the news in 1992 and the other creepy things that happened to people who had dirt of the Clintons it was apparent that the Clintons were in the organization you mention. Harold Ickes came from a law firm in New York many of whose clients are on the FBI watch list for organized crime; when he left the Whitehouse he returned to that firm. She tapped Ickes to run her Senate campaign and he remains one of her trusted advisors. I would rather have a guy who deals with them than a gal who is a member of them.
