the hk banks stopped selling platinum 5-6 years ago, but still buys back - so a lack of supply is the issue

if the us coin shops do not buy back, it seems to mean they do not believe the current price will hold, or fear the volatility, iow, they lack faith ?

That's why the owners of those shops will still be working hard for the vig above/below spot in 10 years, instead of sitting on the beach after having caught the quadruple in gold over less than 10 yrs so far and beyond.
