The media reported a $500 donation from some guy who was later identified as a racist.

Then notified the Paul people about it... who (not knowing the guy, who he was or anything about him until the media came to them) replied by saying "We decided to KEEP the money, and spend it on our campaign. We figure it's a better way to spend the money then whatever the racist might have otherwise done with it...."

So, that seems to be the 'story'.

Don't know if $500 qualifies with you as a "large amount of money" but Paul his opposition to all racist philosophies in the strongest of terms and simply argues "better ME spending it, then HIM." :-)

I will note though that the Long Knives are out in politics now --- and that scurrilous and dishonest attacks are flourishing all over the place now....
