And what the heck could an aircraft "part" possibly need 512Kb of storage to record? Are they going to track the names and birthdays of every maintenance workers' kid too?

And what kind of aircraft production line ever moved fast enough to need 800+MHz speeds to ID passing parts? ...I just don't get it. They aren't planning to track these parts in flight are they? <vbg>
