Just got back from SLC.

We went to Costa Vida, Cafe Rio as usual, Restaurant Morelia and Red Iquana. Also Tucci's Italian (515 S 700 E)

Costa Vida ia a rip off of Cafe Rio but not as well run and the tortillas were fatter than Rio which i didn't like as well. None the less it was pretty good.

Restaurant Morelia was more traditional (looks like an old IHOP building). It was OK, no way as good as Red Iguana, imo.

The real winner for traditional is the RED IGUANA. 12 kinds of mole and everything else. Even the refried beans are delicious.
Carlos Santana and ZZtop among others frequent the place while in town. The big combo plate is a good place to start if you haven't been there.
Usually there is a line but on Sundays you can usually get right in.

located at 700W and North Temple.
