Forget GDP as a measuring stick, it's a contrary indicator when the government is borrowing and spending trillions we don't have. It counts deficit spending as a positive when it's actually a negative. Re-adjusted, the economy is in poor shape now and getting worse quite quickly.

basically we're about where we were after the Vietnam War debt came in and oil prices tripled under Carter. Stagflation is the current reality. And lots more corruption that in Carter's days when we had a relatively honest, efficient government. Carter also cared about energy independence, which Bushies do not.

Bush has doubled the national debt in 7 short years. Let me repeat this so you understand. Bush DOUBLED the national debt in 7 short years.

I don't want to hear any winger arguing economics anymore. You obviously lack basic math skills. The dollar has been cut in half in Bush's term that means you have half the buying power you did in 2000. Therefore, whatever the tax situation is, is IRRELEVANT.

Democrats did not spend us out of house and home. A REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT, and a REPUBLICAN CONGRESS did.

Here is what they spent it on:
- Iraq 12 billion PER MONTH
- Medicare drug plan with no bargaining effectively DOUBLING the medicare entitlement payouts
- Energy pork- tax cuts to big oil etc
- other high end tax cuts
- subsidies for pork like Ethanol
