"They managed okay without tasers for decades." Don't you think Rodney King wishes he had been Tasered? I know you have a morbid fear of shocks, but most people don't. I'd bet the number of nightstick injuries and deaths far exceeds the Taser. LOL. I don't have a morbid fear of shocks but I've got news for you......no one likes to get shocked. I personally don't like the reliability of Tasers VS guns. The darts have to penetrate heavy clothing and reach the skin. A bullet has no such problem. But, I'm all for the cops having to use them first! Oh really. What was my first clue?!
