The "heap" can be more of a problem than all of the "grains" added together.

I might even be able to cope with the heap if the grains weren't so, er, uneven, for lack of a better word. And often off target, seemingly capricious. You know, we still have those stupid labels on mattresses and pillows. Does that still make sense? Did it ever?

Another argument he keeps returning to is the argument that government intervenes all the time and often massively anyway, so why complain about this particular intervention.

My argument is that the government intervenes successfully in many cases. So why eliminate government intervention when it may be, and has proven to be in most other similar countries, the best solution.

This isn't brain surgery (or maybe it is).
