A few years back, perhaps several, a man confessed to needing some type of transplant on a thread started by Jane Hafker. I have wondered for sometime what the outcome was of that transplant and what part faith was responsible for the results. I am not sure if you were talking about me, as do not remember the thread of which you speak, but I did receive a double lung transplant in 2004. And if you wonder about what part faith played and continues to play in it, I cannot begin to tell you how many congregations, not just individuals, have prayed and continue to pray for me daily. Their expression of faith has blessed my life and in my opinion, moved Heaven. Has it been easy? no. Have I asked God why certain things related to the outcome of the transplant have happened since that time? yes. I have wondered what God's purpose for me on this earth is or will be, but it may be that there are still lessons that I need to learn as a son, and that my house is not finished. I know that what is easiest for some is hardest for me, humility and forgiveness. I'm not perfect, nor do I believe I ever will be on this earth, but by the righteousness of God bestowed upon Jesus, and HIS righteousness bestowed upon me, I look forward to being with HIM regardless of my past.
