RP said something to the effect that the $500 from that contributor had already been spent, plus that particular $500 couldn't be returned(it would have to have been another $500 just like it, I guess....but not the same exact funds) and besides he was going to take it and do good with it.

That was a while back when it was fresh news....it's clear that Mr. Paul does not have a bigoted bone in his body...when it comes to money.

Frankly, I got a kick out of his answer and thought at the time that polish had little to do with his campaign.....I doubt he will ever get the nickname of "slick" or the nomination either.

Re: "let's say for the moment that what is reported is all factual, true, and accurate..."

OK, let's. (Especially since there would be major federal felonies connected with misreporting this information.... :-)

Re: "Okay, so it may have been only 500 dollars, this make his case even worse... he'll sell his political high road for chump change."

I don't think you get the point.

What Paul clearly said is that his political views and philosophies are NOT FOR SALE, not for any amount, and whatever money anyone gives him (regardless of whatever philosophies the person doing the giving may personally believe in) are NOT GOING TO AFFECT THE PHILOSOPHIES that Paul has been out-front supporting for many decades now.

(And Paul --- somewhat uniquely among most of the other candidates, has a very LONG RECORD of consistently held beliefs in political life... no flip-flopping of 'election year conversions' for him. <g>)

Another way of saying it, I guess, might be to say: If you are a racist, or a war-monger, or a Flat-Earther, or a Neo-Con, or a stamp collector, or a Communist, or a Nazi, or a Big Government advocate, or a Clinton, or a Bush, etc., etc., it makes no difference, it will not affect his long-held belief system....

If anyone gives money to his campaign the money will go to promoting the Libertarian and Free Market and Small Government and Constitutionalist ideals that he holds... regardless.

And 'Political Correctness' be damned....
