The flip side of that is that when the commodity bubble bursts, inflation should be dead for a long while.

And we are in a huge and growing commodity bubble.

Well, the internet bubble did SOME good, here we are. The housing bubble maybe did some good, I cashed out and own a house instead of a mortgage. I'm hoping the commodity bubble will pump my GLD shares.

But why don't we have these bubbles where they're most needed - like right now, we need to wean ourselves off the oil tit. Why don't we have a renewable/alternative energy bubble? I would be happy for it even to include nuclear.
