The Bush White House knew six months before their invasion of Iraq that Saddam had no WMD. Of course Saddam was a suspect at first, because he had supported a previous attack on the WTC, or so it was said. But the Bush White House found out Saddam was in fact injnocent and had no WMD. So their crime was that they kept lying about it because they just wanted to invade Iraq for the oil, no mater what, and they didn't want any UN help because that would have meant sharing oil money.
