Thats because some idiot was on BNN yesterday talking about how 95% of silver consumed is industrial or jewelry and this is why it is different from gold and so since jewelry demand will go down in a recession then silver won't do as well as gold. So on the one hand he claims its an industrial metal but he contradicts himself by saying that its a precious metal used in jewelry. I just about threw my TV over the balcony. I can think of other uses for silver that he didn't mention >G<
