Edwards was very critical of Kerry and the way he ran the 2004 campaign immediately after the election and they have not been close since. I doubt that Edwards ever expected Kerry's endorsement and I doubt Kerry ever considered it. I am surprised and relatively pleased that Kerry chose Obama over Clinton, but I doubt it will have much effect. I don't think I would do anything just because John Kerry said it was what he would do.
