Show me where you have suggested changes in the US medical system.

It's not necessary to offer counter proposals to avoid supporting the status quo. If he were posting about how great the current system is, then you'd have a point, but I don't recall his doing that. Merely objecting to your proposed changes doesn't make him a supporter of the status quo.
