Everyone who earned an income got a tax break.

The investor class got almost 50%.

The point is that the rich will always have the means to avoid paying taxes. Doesn't matter if you tax their regular income, investment income, inheritance, whatever. They have the means to transfer their wealth and income and minimize their tax "burden."

It's not as easy as you make it sound, unless they give to charity (which society decided was a good thing). And it kind of kicks the shit out of your argument that the very righ pay 80% of the taxes, or whatever.

Which makes it all the more hypocritical for rich liberal elitists to call for higher taxes. This as they dodge the very taxes they advocate. Much like Soros dodging the very campaign finance laws he advocated.

I thought the rich paid all the taxes now???

It's tough trying to navigate through the maze of "nuances" you've created, the latest one being "investment income."

If 'investment income' taxed at a much lower rate is a nuance to you, then you have a pretty simple mind Ten.

"Everyone who earned an income got a tax break."

Most people got a little $300 crumb that fell off the croissants the rich were eating up at the elitist, big boy table.

"The point is that the rich will always have the means to avoid paying taxes"

But, you don't have to just give up and hand it to them. That's what Bush did.
