Would it be BSing you to say that the Republicans made "drunken sailors" look financially frugal after they gained control of the House, the Senate and the Whitehouse after Bush became President? The Republicans took the term "ear marks" to an entirely new level after they got control. The U.S was the World's CREDITOR Nation when Jimmy Carter was in office. Today the U.S. is the World's DEBTOR Nation. Maybe you haven't noticed, but the US dollar is in freefall and just lately MOODYS said that the U.S. is in danger of losing its top of the line credit rating. I know you want to THINK that's all the fault of the Democrats, but the Republicans have held the Whitehouse for 20 of the last 28 years and the "blame the Democrats stuff" just doesn't CUT IT anymore!!!! I think you'll see in the 2008 elections that even the "average joes" in this country are wising up to that fact.
