Rightwing Begins Huge Smear Campaign Against Obama Billions of these sleazy dishonest emails went out today or yesterday and may be continuing. The smearvets guys are probably behind it. And they falsely claim it is a Wikipedia entry, it's not, it's pure fascist style smear propaganda, the kind I've been warning about. It's here. The rightwing fascists have made their first big move. SMEAR EMAIL Subject: Barack Hussein Obama - Background Information you won't get in the mainstream media. This man is running for President. This is from Google and Wikipedia.com (* TOTAL LIE) Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama Sr. (black muslim) of Nyangoma-Kogelo, Siaya District, Kenya, and Ann Dunham of Wichita, Kansas. (white atheist ). When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced and his father returned to Kenya. His mother married Lolo Soetoro -- a Muslim -- moving to Jakarta with Obama when he was six years old. Within six months he had learned to speak the Indonesian language Obama spent "two years in a Muslim school, then two more in a Catholic school" in Jakarta. Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim while admitting that he was onc e a Muslim, mitigating that damning information by saying that, for two years, he also attended a Catholic school. Obama's father, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. was a radical Muslim who migrated from Kenya to Jakarta, Indonesia. He met Obama's mother, Ann Dunham—a white atheist from Wichita, Kansas—at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Obama, Sr. and Dunham divorced when Barack, Jr. was two. Obama's spinmeisters are now attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came from his father and that influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya immediately following the divorce and never again had any direct influence over his son's education. Dunham married another Muslim, Lolo Soetoro who educated his stepson as a good Muslim by enrolling him in one of Jakarta's Wahabbi schools. Wahabbism is the radical teaching that created the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad on the industrialized world. Since it is politically expedient to be a Christian when you are seeking political office in the United States, Obama joined the United Church of Christ to help purge any notion that he is still a Muslim.

Today the rightwing is engaged in a huge smear campaign and attempted character assassination of Obama, claiming he's a black African radical Muslim. Then they have fake "liberal" websites claiming Hillary is behind it. Stockman Scott fell for it and started re-posting the lie, but I stopped him. The rightwing is behind 15% nationally and have a split GOP party. They know they could lose by a landslide unless they get really-really dirty and negative, so this has begun. They've spent the last 14 years smearing the Clintons but now they're targeting Obama. Notice today Hannity and Limbaugh repeating the same slurs about Obama's supposedly un-christian un-American background. What we are seeing here is the dirtiest of politics, a fascist style smear campaign based on ethnic slurs. and of course they want to blame it all on another of their opponents. Hitler probably did the same thing.

You think the GOP rightwing will let McCain be the nominee? If he gets there it will be over their dead bodies. Fox News actively propagandizes against McCain all the time. McCain is a secularist, against the GOP gravy train and easy on illegal immigration. McCain made a huge mistake not accepting Kerry's gracious offer to run with him in 2004. That was his chance. If McCain does squeak by, he might make it a close race against Hilary but he'd lose to Obama. McCain is old and tired looking. There's nothing fresh about him. He is a terrible speaker. And he represents no new ideas at all. His one claim to fame, supporting The Surge is a double-edged sword. Even people who accept that The Surge has neutralized some of the violence still want to get the hell out of Iraq and are fruous that we're still there. So who supports McCain? Mainly conservative independents, as most independents are against the Iraq debacle completely. Perfect for New Hampshire GOP primaries but not much good anywhere else. Still, the GOP field is so fractured, he may take the lead, for awhile. But talk about old, tried and boring. McCain looks like he should retire, not run for president. I think he might have some serious health problems. That's my take on him. What's yours?
