Ron Paul is a fringe candidate with no chance of nomination by a major party. The two main parties will nominate relatively mainstream candidates with calculated "nuance" to differentiate their policies. However, third-party politics could be interesting this year. If Bloomberg jumps in with an independent run, others like Ron Paul might try the same gambit. We'll see.
